Crain's Chicago Business reports that the final deliveries of the newspapers will be Dec. 23.

The papers to be shuttered by Sun-Times Media LLC are the Grayslake Review, the Gurnee Review, the Proviso Herald, the the Antioch Review, Edison-Norwood Times Review, Doings-Elmhurst and Review for the Lake Villa and Lindenhurst communities. They have a total of about 12,000 subscribers.

Sun-Times CEO Jeremy Halbreich says it is not clear yet whether closing the papers will result in any job losses.

He says coverage by the four weeklies in Lake County will be picked up by the Saturday edition of the company's Lake County News-Sun daily newspaper.
