shebada_cc_fc_web.jpgThis Father’s Day weekend, South Florida theatergoers will have the perfect opportunity to enjoy themselves, or to treat that special father or husband to an entertaining evening of laughter, as the Sunshine Theater  Company presents Jamaica’s No. 1 comedian, Keith “Shebada” Ramsay, in Michael Denton’s hit comedy play Krosses.

Visit sunshinetheatrecompany.com to purchase tickets online, as well as to get a preview of Krosses or previous Sunshine presentations.

Joining Shebada onstage again is his real-life sister Etasia Ramsay, who appeared with him in the recent play De Weddin Scamma. Maxwell “Bashy” Grant, Dainty Bellinfante, Junior Williams and Cavin Carty complete Krosses’ hilarious cast.

Drama unfolds with a healthy dose of comedy when Mavis (Dainty), a young mother of two, decides that she is giving the children to the man she likes and not to the man who is the real father (as it is said in Jamaica, “She gi de man jacket”).

Cook shop owner Lashie (Shebada), and community drunkard Tippo (Maxwell), are the kings of gossip in the area, and nothing remains a secret when they get knowledge of it.

Together they are the elements of confusion and mix-up in this lively Jamaican soap opera. Krosses shows the interconnection of folks in a simple community and how the actions of one person can affect others living around them.

Following on the recent sold-out success of Delcita Coldwater for which many procrastinators were not able to get tickets, it’s strongly recommended to get your tickets early.
