Parents who have not yet had their children given free immunizations have one day more to do so.
The Broward County Health Department said the shots, available for children from birth to 18 years of age, are being given at two locations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Friday, Aug. 27, as follows:
• Washington Park & Community Center, 5199 Pembroke Rd., Hollywood, this Friday, Aug. 27, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Morton Activity Center, 2890 SW Eighth Ave., Fort Lauderdale
Children going for the shots must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who must take along the kids’ immunization records.
Florida law requires that all children from birth through 18 years follow recommended immunization schedules and guidelines. Children must be immunized before entering any school in the Broward County School District.
