Staff Report

Last year, over 1000 people converged on Mizner Park’s Amphitheater for a gigantic free yoga class. Timed to help people use the spiritual practice as a way to set powerful intentions for the New Year, the free class was offered by Yoga Journey; taught by the studio’s founder, Leslie Glickman and members of her staff.

Hoping to repeat the powerful experience, this year’s class is scheduled for Jan. 1, and participants are invited to “come out and experience an amazing start to your New Year.”

Yoga Journey’s staff is encouraging people to join with friends, family, loved ones and other like minded people in creating “Something Big,” a unique yoga experience accompanied by live music.

Glickman has been sharing the physical, spiritual, and emotional benefits of yoga for over two decades. The former New Yorker teaches the practice to people recovering from illness, injury, or loss; as well as to elite athletes and everyone in between. The ‘Something Big’ event brings together yoga practitioners from all levels.
