DECATUR, Ala. (AP) _ An Alabama county is trying to determine whether it is getting its rightful share of money generated from telephone calls made by county jail inmates.

The Decatur Daily reports (http://bit.ly/1C6ZbGs) that Morgan County has hired a company to review records of the telephone service provided by Telmate LLC.

Morgan County Commission Chairman Ray Long has raised questions about how the money is shared between the company and the county.

The county commission recently approved a contract with Secured Perimeters International of Falkville to check monthly revenues collected by Telmate.

Rob Gordon, director of account management for Telmate, tells the Decatur newspaper that no one from Morgan County has contacted the company with questions about shared revenues.
