INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Outdoor enthusiasts looking for a new fishing hole or nature preserve to visit can now find it with a revised free application for their iPhones or Androids.
The Department of Natural Resources released a new version of its mobile app Wednesday that’s now available for both Apple and Android platforms.
The previous DNR app launched in March 2011 for iPhones was downloaded nearly 33,000 times.
DNR Director Cameron Clark says the new app adds some new features and is “meant to be a portable field guide.”
The new app provides information people might need while planning outdoor activities at any of the agency’s properties, including forests, fish and wildlife areas, nature preserves, state parks and reservoirs.
