ATLANTA (AP) _ A Brazilian information technology company is planning to expand its office in Atlanta and create hundreds of jobs.

Gov. Nathan Deal said in a statement Wednesday that São Paulo, Brazil-based Stefanini is looking to create 400 new jobs by the end of 2016.

Officials say the company has operated in Georgia for 10 years and is one of the largest IT employers in the area.

Officials say the company has more than 600 clients in industries including financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications and more.

Deal says more than 12,000 Georgians are employed by Brazilian-owned businesses.
