POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – The 15th Annual Pompano Beach Green Market, presented by the Pompano Beach Historical Society, in partnership with the Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), will reopen on October 14 at 8:30 a.m.

This year, the organizers are featuring new, exciting opportunities for visitors to “hang out and enjoy” the Old Town Fountain Plaza.

“The market this season will feature not only yoga on the plaza, but also offer a variety of prepared foods and brunch items, including Mimosas!,” said Tom McMahon, president of the Pompano Beach Historical Society.

Local vendors from throughout the South Florida area will once again take over the Old Town Pompano Beach downtown area, located on the corner of Dixie Highway and Atlantic Ave. (41 NE 1 St. in Pompano Beach).

Residents and visitors will have the opportunity to socialize, exercise, eat, shop and support local vendors as they offer fresh produce, unique handmade goods and creatively and distinctly prepared foods.

On opening day, the market will feature the traditional Pepper Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Mayor Lamar Fisher at 10 a.m.

Yoga on the Plaza hosted by Hot Yoga Home will take place from 9-10 a.m. Brunch and Bubbly with friends and family and healthy, unique shopping can be enjoyed throughout the event.

Other opening day activities include The Bean & Pepper Jamboree hosted by the Florida Farm Bureau, Project Stable (cruelty free) live petting zoo, a food tasting contest, Chicken Bingo, children’s activities, arts & crafts, and live premier harmonica entertainment from the Rockin’ Jake Band.

One lucky person will win a Green Market shopping spree when they participate in the Register to Win contest. Be sure to check out Bailey Contemporary Arts (BaCA) gallery and the locally roasted coffee and delicious brunch items from Blooming Bean Coffee located inside BaCA.

The Pompano Beach Green Market actively seeks vendors who offer unique, highquality items. Visit the website to download, complete and submit an application.
