FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — In an era where social media, technology and reality shows that celebrate negative behavior impact teens and their perception of every aspect of their young lives,conversations about who they are and how they navigate life become increasingly important. A two day conference will bring them together in a supportive atmosphere to address issues of family life, human sexuality and teen pregnancy.

The Flipping the Script – “Use Your Mind, Not Your Body” Prevention & Intervention Summit will be hosted by 99 Jamz’ radio personality Felicia Monet on Sept. 25 and 26 at the Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Blvd.  Fort Lauderdale.

Joining Monet for this important conversation will be Tish Hass from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; Felecia Hatcher, social entrepreneur, Anita Davis-DeFoe, International Employment & Enterprise Solutionist; Devin T. Robinson X “Egypt,” a renowned actor and activist.

The event will afford youth age 10 and older the chance to hear from the panelists and also participate in youth forums, an emerging career maze, a resource fair and giveaways. Spoken word  artists, original youth art displays, line dancing, entertainment and more are included in the festivities.
