Miramar – The Broward County Business and Professional Women’s Network, Inc. (BCBPWN), an affiliate of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. (NANBPWC, Inc.), is presenting its 20th Annual Founders’ Day Celebration on Sunday, May 18 at the Miramar Cultural Arts Center, 2400 Civic Center Place, Miramar.

This year’s theme, “Moving Forward with Purpose: Building Success Through Dedication and Excellence, While Embracing Our Youth,” celebrates two decades of community impact, visionary leadership, and dedicated service to mentoring the next generation.

BCBPWN will honor its founding members, as well as a distinguished group of local leaders whose contributions have made lasting impacts across education, public service, and community development.

The 2025 Founders’ Day honorees are:

• Sojourner Truth Award – Rose D. Moorman, retired educator

• Professional Achievement Award – Councilwoman Katrina L. Baskin

• Man of Distinction Award – Marshall L. Davis, Sr.

• Service in Education Award – Jerelle Robinson-Owens

• Excellence in Leadership Award – Gwendolyn D. Harris

• Book Scholarship Recipient – Tyjai Jordin Smith, Nova High School to attend Florida International University 

The afternoon begins with an Hors d’oeuvre Reception at 2, followed by the main program at 3 p.m.
