OPA-LOCKA — Don’t miss a chance to get a backpack filled with school supplies on Saturday, Aug. 2

Miami-Dade and Broward students from Pre-kindergarten through high school and get supplies and resources as part of the annual Back To School Extravaganza hosted by the Opa-locka Community Development Corp., Community Builders, the Trayvon Martin Foundation, Hanan’s Academic Development Center and other local businesses.

The giveaway begins at 10 a.m. at Hanan’s Academic Development Center, 13250 NW 28 Ave., Opa-locka. Residents of Magnolia North will be provided free transportation. Meet the bus at the Magnolia North Community Park (KaBoom! Playground), 2123 Ali Baba Ave., Opa-locka. Pick up times are 9:15 and 9:30 a.m. and return at 1:30 and 1:45 p.m.
