RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. – For the past four months, Riviera Beach residents have been spending the third Friday of the month at the Riviera Beach Bicentennial Park, one of Riviera Beach Marina Village’s most prominent landmarks located at 190 E. 13th Street, because it has been transformed into an ‘outdoor cinema’ hosting Movie Daze & Food Truck Frenzy.

“We highly value the meaning of family. That is why we want to continue hosting events for them to enjoy,” said Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (RBCRA) Interim Executive Director, Scott Evans. “The Marina Village is one of Riviera Beach’s most visited location. Not only can people spend time with their family and friends at these free events, but they can also they enjoy other activities, such as water sports, eco-tours and more.”

On Movie Daze, people can enjoy a mix of classic and modern featured films, such as “Remember the Titans” (April 20); “Johnson Family Vacation” (May 18); and “Marvel’s Avengers” (June 15). Food Truck Frenzy, features ‘restaurants on wheels’ where family and friends can enjoy a variety of food options while watching free family-friendly films surrounded by lush landscaping and stunning views of the Intracoastal.

Food Truck Frenzy starts at 6:00 p.m. followed by Movie Daze at 7:00 p.m. Sponsored by the RBCRA, the family event that launched in November, is a part of the agency’s efforts to “expand the tax base by creating a welcoming environment that eliminates blight and improves perception of safety in an area; guides the city’s redevelopment efforts; and creates and supports many programs that enhances daily life in Riviera Beach.”
