Miami, Fla. – Creative design is one of Miami-Dade County Beacon Council’s targeted growth industries. That’s a perfect fit for the upcoming Miami Urban Music and Film Festival (MUMFF) scheduled for October 7-8 at Miami Dade College, North Campus. A critical objective of MUMFF, is to better inform and engage local business leaders, economic experts and creative design advocates about the amazing opportunities and benefits that come with building a stronger creative design and entertainment economy.

According to the Beacon Council, Miami has captured the attention of the international creative design community, where there is a talented, multilingual pool of creative professionals and a solid infrastructure for producing and distributing creative work. This includes areas such as film, fashion, entertainment technology and marketing. “Cities like Austin, Texas and Seattle, Washington are prime examples of cities that have greatly benefited from the success of this dynamic segment” said Tony C. Lesesne, Chief Creative Officer of Lesesne Media group Entertainment which produces the event. “It took work, collaboration, investment, talent and commitment to grow what we have right here at home” said Lesesne.

Lesesne said The Miami Urban Music and Film Festival helps cultivate and develop synergies between the entertainment industries, investors and the local marketplace while providing training, exposure and exhibition platforms for those seeking to build careers and launch or expand businesses in the creative design and entertainment industries.
