BENTON, La. (AP) _ Bossier Parish emergency responders, in conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Public Health, will offer free tetanus vaccines Saturday at two parish locations as a precaution for individuals who may have been exposed because of the floodwaters.

Officials say the clinics will be located at the Bossier Parish Emergency Medical Service Center, 5275 Swan Lake Road, and at the South Bossier Fire Department Central Station, 3551 Highway 527 in Elm Grove.

Tetanus shots will be offered from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at both locations.

Authorities say the vaccines are for those who may not have access to such preventative health precautions through a regular medical facility or medical practitioner.
