In honor of the one-year anniversary of her acclaimed “Lemonade” album, Beyonce has announced the Formation Scholars Award.

Queen Bey will fund the education of women at four different schools, including two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s). They include Howard University in Washington, D.C., Spelman College in Atlanta, Berklee College of Music in Boston and Parsons School of Design in New York.

According to the announcement on the gamechanging singer’s website, the scholarships will “… encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident.”

The announcement also stated applicants can be incoming freshmen, current undergrads or graduate students majoring in creative arts, music, literature or African American studies.

Former first lady Michelle Obama gave Beyonce props on her new initiative. On Twitter Obama wrote:

“Always inspired by your powerful contributions @Beyonce. You are a role model for us all. Thank you for investing in our girls.” The tweet was followed by crown and bee emojis.

Details and application deadlines for the scholarships are available from the select colleges.
