MINOT, N.D. (AP) _ Nineteen students in Minot have finished Peace Officer Training at Lake Region State College and are ready to become law enforcement officers in the state.

The Minot Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/1QaqWX4 ) the group is the fourth to graduate since the training program has been offered in Minot.

Students who finish the 14-week Peace Officer Training Program have completed all of the training necessary to obtain a peace officer license in North Dakota. They can be hired immediately by law enforcement agencies.

The college says 13 of the graduates already have jobs lined up.

Lake Region State in the last 27 years has trained more than 1,400 people who have been hired by more than 100 agencies across the state.
