MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Florida A&M University’s Rattlers football squad defeated the Jackson State Tigers 28-10 at Hard Rock Stadium Sunday in an Orange Bowl Classic overshadowed not only by JSU’s loss of coach Deion Sanders’ to the University of Colorado, but also the classic’s loss of longtime mainstay FAMU. The game isn’t going away, OBC officials insist, with other HBCUs under consideration as replacements for FAMU and its renown Marching 100 band.
