Plantation, Fla– The Haitian American Democratic Club (HADC) of Broward, in coalition with the Democratic Haitian American Caucus of Florida ( DHACF), the Caribbean Democratic Caucus of Florida (CDCF), the Asian Caucus and the Caribbean American Democratic Club will host a Candidates Forum on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. The forum will be held at Deicke Auditorium, 5701 Cypress Road in Plantation. While the races for senator, governor and other state offices are very important, twenty one ( 21)
municipalities in Broward County will also have elections for mayor, commissioners or councilmen/council women during this election cycle leading up to election day November 6.
According to Wikipedia, many of these cities are among the top 101 cities nationwide with the most residents of Haitian and Caribbean heritage:
Coral Spring, Lauderdale Lakes, Lauderhill, Margate, North Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Sunrise, and Wilton Manors.
Candidates from the above cities are invited to come to the forum to share their platforms and their visions for inclusion and valuing the diversity within their respective municipalities.
