Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB)  President and CEO William D. Talbert III presented a check for $176,000 to Carole Ann Taylor, chair of the Black Hospitality Initiative (BHI) of Greater Miami and member of the GMCVB executive committee during the GMCVB’s board meeting on May 12.  The check represents the funds raised by the GMCVB at its 24th Annual Hospitality Open Golf Tournament (H.O.T. Challenge) and auction at Trump National Doral Miami. The event benefits the BHI scholarship program and Multicultural Tourism/Hospitality Training and Certifications. The BHI is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1991 by the GMCVB to increase and expand the participation by African Americans in Miami-Dade County’s visitor industry.
