take_6_web.jpgMIAMI — Take6, heralded by Quincy Jones as the “baddest vocal cats on the planet!,” comes to South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center to celebrate the group’s 25th anniversary.

The performance by the Grammy-winning vocal group will take place on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.

Take6 (Claude McKnight, Mark Kibble, Joel Kibble, Dave Thomas, Alvin Chea and Christian Dentley) is an a cappella group that performs a brew of gospel, jazz, R&B and pop.

It has received praise from such luminaries as Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Brian Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald and Whitney Houston. The multi-platinum selling sextet has toured across the globe and collaborated across genres.

Unity Center of Miami offers a special $75 VIP ticket that includes a pre-show performance and reception featuring award-winning vocalist Brenda Alford.
