KINGSTON, Jamaica — Artists in Jamaica are paying tribute to reggae great Bob Marley in the Trench Town community that inspired some of his most famous songs.

Several concerts are scheduled starting Saturday to honor Marley on his birth anniversary. They will be held in front of the tenement where Marley lived in the 1960s and which remains impoverished and crime-ridden.

Marley's musician sons Stephen and Damian are expected to play on Sunday.

Marley would have turned 66 on Sunday. He died from cancer in May 1981.
