The Miami Science Museum opened its doors to Dr. Robert Ingram Elementary School for a free afternoon of fun and learning.
More than 400 students, teachers, and their families spent the afternoon at the museum to explore the exhibits, take in planetarium star shows, visit the Wildlife Center and more.
Attendees were treated to dinner by Pollo Tropical and presented with complimentary one-year memberships to visit the Miami Science Museum year-round.
The Oct. 18 event was part of the museum’s “Science Stars” educational initiative targeting schools throughout Miami-Dade.
Through the program, the museum will partner with ten schools per year leading up to the opening of its new home at Museum Park in downtown Miami.
