teen-web.jpgWEST PALM BEACH — The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties administers a scholarship program that each year helps local students pursue their dreams and goals at colleges, universities, and trade or technical schools after high school graduation.

Each year the Scholarship Directory published by the Community Foundation provides valuable financial aid information to students pursuing education beyond high school.

Since 1983 the foundation has awarded more than $7.2 million in scholarships and grants to 1,650 students in Palm Beach and Martin counties. In 2012, the Community Foundation awarded 113 local students attending college $1,125,000 in scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $30,000.

Although many of the scholarships listed in the directory are for high school seniors, there are several for students already enrolled in college as well as non-traditional students.

For more details, students and parents can visit yourcommunityfoundation.org/Scholarship-Center. The foundation employs a single application for  scholarship allowing students to apply for many different scholarships.
