KINGSTON —  Authorities said a 6-year-old child was been killed by a fallen soccer goal post, the third such incident this year.

Authorities said Jevaughn Bailey was playing on his school's field in rural St. Ann parish when the post fell on him. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

A 7-year-old died at another school in January when a goal post fell as students tried to move it. In March, a gust of wind blew down a goal post and killed a 9-year-old.
