Organizers gathered at a church near downtown Phoenix, then participated in a three-mile candlelight procession to the Capitol, where participants joined protesters holding a vigil protesting the new law.

The law's provisions include a requirement that state and local law enforcement officers question people about their immigration status if there's reason to suspect they're in the country illegally. It also makes it a state crime to be in the United States illegally.
