Carroll paused briefly before continuing on with her remarks Friday morning. The student protestor, who could not be clearly heard, was soon escorted out of the university auditorium by FAMU police.

Ciara Taylor later said she was being put “on report'' and could be suspended.

The Vero Beach senior said she opposed Carroll's recent comparison of Gov. Rick Scott to Martin Luther King Jr. and Scott's call for the suspension of FAMU President James Ammons after a recent student hazing death.

Carroll left the campus immediately after her remarks. Ammons said she had to go to another event.
