Oh, and did we mention you could win $1million if you participate.

Past NFL stars scheduled to swing their clubs include: Tampa Bay Buccaneers and University of Florida wide receiver Reidel Anthony; Cincinnati Bengals running back Ki-Jana Carte; Cincinnati Bengals Hall of Fame tackle Anthony Muñoz; Miami Dolphins Hall of Fame quarterback Bob Griese; Miami Dolphins and University of Florida wide receiver OJ McDuffie; Miami Dolphins Hall of Fame center Dwight Stephenson; Minnesota Vikings Hall of Fame defensive tackle John Randle; Buffalo Bills wide receiver Andre Reed; University of Miami defensive back Duane Starks; and University of Florida and Los Angeles Rams Hall of Fame defensive end Jack Youngblood are just some of the pro football legends who will participate.

“We are honored to be the charity of choice for this great event.  It is wonderful to see the NFL Hall of Fame players and our community partners rallying to help support the mission of Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center,” said Ana E. Calderon Randazzo, the center’s executive director. “A portion of the proceeds from the Pro Football Legends Classic will go to support the Center’s primary care clinic.  This ensures that children with special healthcare needs receive the vital medical services they require.”

Foursomes in the Legends Classic and tickets to the fundraising reception are available. Players and guests will enjoy a casual practice round of golf on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Jacaranda Golf Club followed by an evening fundraising reception and dinner cruise aboard the Floridian Princess. The Golf Classic is a four-person scramble on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at Jacaranda Golf Club.

An awards ceremony and closing reception will follow the Golf Classic on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place teams and to winners of the closest to the pin, longest drive and straightest drive. Two lucky players will have the chance to each win $1 million, courtesy of Title Sponsor GW Development International, Inc.  A raffle will qualify two players to participate in the exciting million dollar hole-in-one shootout at Jacaranda Golf Club’s East Course on the 17th hole, which is a 135-yard par 3 hole. Golfers will also compete for a choice of golf excursions to such courses as St. Andrews, Pebble Beach and Augusta.

All players will be eligible for  a $15,000 cash prize for a hole-in-one at the 3rd hole, which is a 150-yard par 3 hole.  Spectators are welcome to attend both golf events.

“This mission of this classic event is much like ours – to give back and support those in need, in this case the Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center, said George Williams III, CEO of GW Development, International Inc. It is also a treat to be able to mingle with so many former NFL greats who have all taken the time to support the same goal.”

There is also a chance to win a new Mercedes-Benz CLA250 base model at the 13th hole, which is a 175 yard par 3. Mercedes-Benz of Fort Lauderdale also is offering the tournament’s first, second and third place overall winners the opportunity to win a closest to the pin grand prize for a trip to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championships Eastern Sectional.
