FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) _ The BCS executive director says the site for the first national championship game under the new playoff system, along with the three remaining semifinal rotation sites will likely be picked by the end of April.
Bill Hancock says future championship sites may also be announced at that time. Hancock says the conference commissioners figuring out details of the four-team playoff that starts in 2014 are working with a concept of having 15 to 18 people on the selection committee that will pick the top four teams in the country.
Similar to the committee that sets the field for the NCAA men's basketball tournament, the panel will be comprised of college athletics administrators.
There is no plan to have an equivalent of the BCS standings in the new postseason system.
