Raiders were opponents when expansion Dolphins played first game, at Orange Bowl, in 1966.  Oakland won 23-14.  New Oakland GM Reggie McKenzie and new Miami coach Joe Philbin worked together with Packers in 2003-11.

 

STREAKS AND NOTES:

Raiders will play five games in Eastern time zone, most in franchise history. Raiders scheduled to travel 28,692 air miles this season, most in NFL.

Raiders RB Darren McFadden had league-high 13 receptions in opener. Sebastian Jankowski needs three PATs to move into first place on Raiders' career list. On 40th anniversary of Dolphins' perfect season, the team will pay tribute to achievement throughout season.

On Sunday, fans will be given caps that say "Still Perfect" and members of 1972 team will greet fans as they enter stadium.

The Dolphins arecoming off their most lopsided season-opening loss since 1988. They haven't won home opener since 2005, and are 0-7 in September at home since 2007.  Miami rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw three interceptions and had six passes tipped in his NFL debut last week.
