isabella_martinez_web.jpgRIVIERA BEACH — The Second Annual Miss Riviera Beach USA and Miss Riviera Beach Teen USA pageant will be held at 5 p.m. on April 7, at Newcomb Hall at the Municipal Marina.

The event is an official qualifying contest in the international Miss USA network. Tickets are $10 in advance, $20 at the door and, new this year, $30 for VIP.

The city joined the Miss USA pageant network last year.

The current reigning Miss Riviera Beach Teen USA is Isabella Martinez, a student at Palm Beach Gardens High School. Amisha Shockency, now studying at Palm Beach State College, wears the Miss Riviera Beach USA crown. Both competed at the state level last year.

Fifteen young women have signed on as participants. Basic eligibility for contestants in the Miss Riviera Beach USA pageant is age 18 to 26, and for Miss Riviera Beach Teen USA, age 14 to 18. New this year is competitions for younger girls, ages 5 to 7, 8 to 10, and 11 to 13.

The pageant is organized and operated by Ele’Ganzia, a Riviera Beach-based production company owned by Pageant Director Cecilia Martinez. Councilman Shelby L. Lowe brought the pageant to the city with the city council’s unanimous support. The city provides in-kind support to the event.

Winners of the two main pageant levels go on to compete for Miss Florida USA and Miss Florida Teen USA.
