cheerleaders-web.jpgMIAMI — Hosted by the MLK Parade and Festivities Committee of Miami, Inc., the Miami-Dade MLK Parade will celebrate the national holiday and the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., beginning at 11 a.m., on Northwest 54th Street from 10th Avenue to 32nd Avenue.

Parade  entries during the free event include faith-based, community and political leaders, historic pioneers, local high school, college, university as well as international and HBCU marching bands, dance and drill teams, equestrian units, cars, motorcycle units, civic and community groups, local unions, police, fire, military and veteran groups, the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians, grand marshals and again, community favorite the Humana All Tingz Caribbean unit, featuring a salute to Dr. King from the Caribbean community that will include a Bahamian Junkanoo Band, Virgin Island's Mocka Jumbie Stilt Walkers, and the Best of the Miami/Broward One Carnival Costumes and Calypso Dancers.
