Miami Gardens’ newest, and arguably its most luxurious auto showroom is partnering with The Miami Gardens Kiwanis Club to present an evening of wine, food and music, all for a good cause. Proceeds from the inaugural Taste in the Gardens – Food and Wine Tasting, which happens on Thursday, May 19, will fund several scholarships for high school seniors.
The event takes place at the new Mercedes Benz of Miami showroom in Miami Gardens, where guests may mix and mingle, exchange business cards and test drive a luxury vehicle. The networking and fundraising event joins a list of Kiwanis events benefitting residents and businesses in the city of Miami Gardens.
Since 2008, the Miami Gardens Kiwanis Club has purchased and delivered new appliances to families during the Christmas Holidays, provided books to over 1000 Miami Gardens students, and assisted over 250 local
children by purchasing back-to-school supplies and clothing. Additionally the Kiwanis Club of Miami Gardens teamed up with the City of Miami Gardens Police Department and its “Shop with a Cop” program to provide a holiday shopping experience to over 300 local youth. The Kiwanis Club has also awarded over $8000 in college scholarships to high school graduating seniors.
The evening will include a silent auction and feature tasty delights from King Foods, Desirable Delights, Cancun Grill, Crazy fork Catering, El Pimiento Restaurant, Casavanna Cuban Cuisine, Jamon Jamon Jamon, La Trattoria Pampered Chef and Reed’s Catering. Also serving food will be Bring Organics Back, Italy Today, Betty’s Baked Goods, Rum Cake Factory, Tropical Catering, Edible Arrangements, D’ocassions Catering, and Miami Broward One Carnival, Jamaican Jerk Spice Cuisine.
Wine & Spirits will be provided by Brown Forman’s – Gentleman Jack, Conjure Cognac, PRP Wine International, and Beam Global Spirits; with Aroma Espresso providing a variety of coffee drinks to sample with the sweets treats for the evening.
In addition to the cuisine, guests will have an opportunity to relax in the El Dorado Cigar Lounge where the furniture maker will have on display their new collection of indoor, outdoor furniture. Entertainment will be provided by Brass King Entertainment and a live performance by South Florida’s own John Sax, who will perform throughout the evening from various locations in the showroom.
