The session is titled “Mission Possible: Tom Joyner’s Secret to a Profitable Business.” It will take place June 20 at Jungle Island.
Joyner is chairman and founder of REACH Media Inc., host of The Tom Joyner Show and founder of the Tom Joyner Foundation. He will talk about his approach to garner potential customers.
Mia Mends, general manager and vice president for Prepaid Debit Card Products at PreCash, will give the second address. She will discuss new approaches to payroll/compensation programs beneficial to employees and business efficiency.
A chamber statement described the luncheon meeting as “an exciting, interactive and informative business networking and educational event.”
Joyner, who will be the luncheon speaker, has established himself over the years as one of the most influential, inspirational and dynamic national media personalities in the country, as well as a successful business executive whose companies include BlackAmericaWeb.com which, the chamber’s statement said, has 1.7 million registered users. His syndicated The Tom Joyner Morning Show has 8 million weekly listeners.

Tom Joyner embodies that entrepreneurial spirit and the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce is very excited to have him share the secrets to his impressive success story,” Bill Diggs, president and CEO of the chamber, said in the statement.
The meeting will also feature an interactive discussion with panelists on opportunities and pitfalls of running a business.
The panelists will include Vincent Brown, owner of Grace Funeral Home and Mahogany Grille, and Rick Beasley, director of South Florida Workforce.
The event is open to the public. The cost is $25 for chamber members and $50 for non-members. Exhibition space for businesses is available for $100 for non-members.
