jeb_bush_web_fc.jpgTALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) _ Count George P. Bush among those who wish his father, former Gov. Jeb Bush, will run for president someday.

But he doesn't think it'll happen.

 

The younger Bush talked about his father's political future Monday and said that his father is enjoying private life after being immersed in politics since his father, George H.W. Bush, announced he was running for president in 1978.

And while his father is flattered that many Republicans still see him as someone who could serve in the White House, the former governor sees a different role.

George P. Bush said, “He loves his current role in the party, and that's essentially being a thought leader.''

But the son might follow in his father's path. He is considering running for office in Texas, where he now lives.
