The event is being held on Saturday, March 31, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Cinema Paradiso, 503 S.E. Sixth St., Fort Lauderdale. The cost is $20. Tickets can be purchased through Cinema Paradiso’s website at fliff.com, or the cinema at 954-760-9898 ext. 107, or contact Rev. Joanna at 561-236-7035 or Rev. Lori at 954-632-0605.

The conference includes a premier viewing of Globalized Soul. Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi and president of the Gandhi Worldwide Education Institute, stated “Globalized Soul is a sensitively made film on peace.  It leaves you with a positive feeling that peace is possible if we know how to build it.”

Attendees will have an opportunity to meet Cynthia Lukas, the film’s producer and a writer of transformative documentaries that educate, inspire, motivate and

celebrate the oneness of humanity, and the Rev. James Trapp, CEO of Unity Worldwide Ministries and former minister of Unity on the Bay.

In addition to music, food and networking, the conference will include a discussion of steps for entering into the consciousness of Globalized Soul, interfaith and intercultural dialogue and keys for building bridges to peace.

The Season for Non-Violence was established by Arun Gandhi as a yearly event celebrating the philosophies and lives of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr.  He co-chairs the event along with the Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith of the Agape International Spiritual Center.

Convened by the Association for Global New Thought, the “season” is anchored by a mission, statement of principles, and commitments by participants toward living in a nonviolent way.
