Wayne Gill, noted attorney, author and CEO of Gill Law Firm, as guest speaker during the group’s monthly Networking Social on Friday, Aug. 31, 6 p.m. – 12 a.m. at Bokamper’s Sport's Bar and Grill, 15550 S.W. 29th St. in Miramar.

The South Florida-based networking group’s stated mission is to “provide a variety of networking resources that meet and exceed the modern Black professional's business and social needs.”

Gill, who obtained his B.A. Degree in English from Trinity College and his law degree from George Washington University, is managing partner of a firm with offices in Delray Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and Atlanta Ga., representing some of the world’s top companies including AT&T, Hilton Hotels Corporation, SunTrust Bank and American Express.

He has been recognized among the 50 Most Powerful Black Professionals in South Florida and the Who’s Who in Black South Florida.

Gill’s first book, Tales My Grandma Told Me — a Business Diversity Fable, has been referred to as the “Bible of supplier diversity.” His latest release The Runner, is a legal, edge-of-your-seats thriller.

He is also author of several eBooks, including This Business of Diversity and Get in the Game and Win.

Gill has received Macy’s Crystal Award for Outstanding Minority Business Advocacy, among other honors. He is the co-founder and legal advisor to Oasis Compassion Agency, a nonprofit empowerment agency for the disadvantaged, a board member of the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County and Secretary of the Board for The Southern Florida Minority Supplier Development Council.

Following his presentation Gill will hold a Q&A session and sign and sell copies of his books.
