WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) — An 11-year-old girl thanked church members for their support after she was lost for days in a central Florida swamp.
Nadia Bloom said Sunday she got an up close look at nature during the four-day ordeal. She collected shells and even saw a snake, but kept her distance from it. The girl spoke at Covenant Community Church in Sanford, thanking church members for their letters.

She said classmates have also been kind. One, who “usually doesn't like me that much” gave her a rubber frog, Bloom said.

Bloom was released from the hospital last week. She spent a week recovering from bug bites, swollen feet and dehydration.

She disappeared after going for a short bike ride. A man who used to attend her church says God helped him find her deep in the woods.
