bobby_dubose.jpgFORT LAUDERDALE — During the 2012 Broward League of Cities Gala on May 18 the 2012-2013 officers and board of directors were installed, including Fort Lauderdale City Commissioner Bobby B. DuBose as president. DuBose, who took the helm of the organization from Cooper City Mayor Debby Eisinger, the former president, and was sworn in by Broward County Commissioner Barbara Sharief, spoke about his plans for the coming year and thanked league members for their support. DuBose’s wife Yvette and son Ethan also took part in the installation ceremony held at the Urban League of Broward County Community Empowerment Center, 560 N.W. 27th Ave., Ft. Lauderdale.

Chartered in 1957, the Broward League of Cities is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization representing the 31 municipal governments and more than 80 associate government, nonprofit and business organizations within Broward County.

The organization’s mission is to increase awareness of and provide resolution for issues that affect day-to-day operations at the county, state, and federal levels.
