Washington Elementary Principal Sandra Edwards and Parent Liaison Therecia Davis, supported by the Bridges at Riviera Beach community partnership group, invited as guest speaker J.R. Thicklin, who addressed the audience about the importance of the father’s role in the home and school and how it can positively impact a child’s performance.

“We were honored to have such a large turnout for our first Donuts with Dads breakfast,” said Edwards. “We look forward to increasing our participation next school year and continuing our work with the entire Washington Elementary family to help all our students succeed.”

School officials cited the activity as an example of Washington Elementary’s dedication to advancing excellence in education by increasing parental involvement and programs focused on the family.
