First Time Home Buyers Workshop: With the real estate market tanking, things are looking pretty grim for today’s homeowners. However, those same nose-diving home prices paint a better picture for future homeowners. New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 2305 Sheridan St. in Hollywood, is holding a “Home Sweet Home Project’’ seminar for first-time homeowners. The seminar will teach you everything from how to seek a loan, how to prepare for closing, and will even provide budget and credit counseling. Back-to-School Health Fair: Summer is zooming past, and if you need any more confirmation, the back-to-school health fairs are starting. Start early this year at the Back-to-School Health Fair hosted at the Sunkist Grove Community Center, 12500 N.W. 13th Avenue in North Miami. Spinning Classes: Love to bike, but don’t like to be bothered with rain, sleet or shine? Then bypass Mother Nature completely and check out one of the spinning classes offered inside the Wellness Center of Broward General Medical Center, 1600 S. Andrews Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.
