Zoo Lights: Zoo Miami’s grounds will come to light for 12 brilliant nights, from 7 – 10 p.m., through Dec. 30. Guests can enjoy dozens of bright animal-shaped lights along our walkways, while sipping hot chocolate, munching on delicious cookies, and listening to wonderful holiday music. HIV/AIDS Training Class: Broward County Health Department is offering a four hour HIV/AIDS 101 Training Class from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Fort Lauderdale Health Center in the 2nd floor auditorium, 2421 SW 6th Ave., Fort Lauderdale. There is a $20 fee for those seeking certification. If no certification is needed, attendance is free of charge, on a first come first serve basis. Participants are encouraged to register early. Holiday Socks and Blankets Drive: Bethel Apostolic Temple and Bethel Temple Community Development Corporation are collecting donations of new socks and blankets for men, women, boys and girls of all ages. You can bring your donation (in the form of cash, socks or blankets) to the church, 1855 N.W. 119 St. in Miami. Donations will be accepted Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items will benefit Community Partners for the Homeless. Photo Exhibit: The Norton Museum of Art special exhibition Made in Hollywood: Photographs from the John Kobal Foundation features fifty-five photographs by high school photography students from nine Palm Beach County public high schools.
