PORT ST. JOHN, Fla. (AP) -Surveillance cameras installed in a central Florida home after an unsuccessful robbery helped deputies nab three men who allegedly returned to burglarize it.
Three Port St. John men were arrested Monday on home invasion robbery and kidnapping charges.
Brevard County deputies were able to surround the 87-year-old victim's home while the burglary was in progress with surveillance cameras they installed after the man was targeted earlier this month.
In that incident, a man and woman impersonating undercover officers demanded money from the victim and took him to a bank to make a withdrawal.
That effort fizzled after bank officials got suspicious, causing the couple to flee.
