minority-business-women_web.jpgThe School Board of Broward County will hold its annual Minority & Women Business Expo from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at Piper High School, 8000 NW 44th St., Sunrise.


The event will provide minority and women business entrepreneurs an opportunity to network with staff from various school district departments and schools, as well as public and private sector organizations.

Workshops and discussions covering topics such as “procurement with the School Board of Broward County,” “Website development,” “how to get more ‘positive decisions’ from prospective clients in the uncertain economy,” “how to conduct business with other federal government agencies” and “certification programs that the federal government offers to the minority community.”

Several businesses will be take part and sponsor the event.

Vendors will be able to sponsor tabletop displays at a cost of $50 each. Set-up will take place from 8 to 9 a.m. Space is limited for exhibitors and is available on a first-come first-served basis.
