frans-johansson_web.jpgBROWARD — The author of the bestselling book The Medici Effect, Frans Johansson will speak at the Urban League of Broward April 15. The founder and CEO of The Medici Group will speak on the topic, “Embracing Unpredictability To Stand Apart From Your Competition. Key Steps To Leverage The Unexpected Into A Winning Strategy.”

His debut book, The Medici Effect was named one of the “Best Books on Innovation” by BusinessWeek and one of the top 10 best business books of the year by Amazon.com. His follow up book, The Click Moment, rewrites the rules for success.

Raised in Sweden by his African-American/Cherokee mother and Swedish father, Johansson has founded a software company, an international healthcare firm and a hedge fund.

He has written articles on healthcare, information technology and the science of sport fishing.

Frans holds a bachelor of science in Environmental Science from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is currently the founder and CEO of The Medici Group.

He is speaking at the Urban League, 560 NW 27th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, as a part of the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship’s Advice Straight Up: An Expert Entrepreneur Speaker Series, whose aim is to provide access to nationally recognized speakers who can share their experiences in launching new ventures and building innovative businesses.
