jennifer-carroll_web.jpgOn Sept. 2, I had the honor of being chosen as Rick Scott’s running mate for Lt. Governor.

I am very proud and honored that Rick Scott selected me to serve in this capacity. I came to America as a young girl from Trinidad and decided to serve my country by joining the United States Navy.

Later I pursued higher education, started a small business, and was elected to the Florida State Legislature.
My husband Nolan, a Miami native, and I live in Jacksonville, and  we are blessed to have three wonderful children.

You may have heard that my oldest son, Nolan II, recently signed a contract to play professional football with the Miami Dolphins.

I am proud to say that I’m living the American dream!  My running mate Rick Scott knows the American dream all too well,  having been raised in public housing, serving in the United States Navy and working his way up the corporate ladder.

We know that Florida’s families are concerned about their future.  Rick and I believe in lower taxes, smaller government and less regulation – making it easier to live and do business in Florida.

We know that families are struggling to pay their bills and put food on the table.  That's why Rick  and  I have a seven step plan to create 700,000 jobs to turn Florida’s economy around.

I look forward to spending the next six weeks sharing with all Floridians our vision and plan to make Florida a better place.
