FORT JACKSON, S.C. (AP) _ The children of adults with ties to Fort Jackson are getting the chance to run around with an NFL player.
The Army basic training base near Columbia on Saturday holds a free youth football camp with Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Colin Cole on hand. Participating children will learn football skills from retired and current NFL players, who also will speak about their life experiences outside football.
The skills camp is open to children between 7 and 12 who are the dependents of active-duty, reserve or retired service member or Defense Department civilian.
