WIN”: Career applicants of all ages are invited to attend CareerSource Broward’s first Job and Educational Opportunity Fair, a new collaboration with the Urban League of Broward County and Hispanic Unity to serve individuals seeking jobs as well as training options, Thursday, April 20, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the Urban League of Broward County, 560 NW 27th Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Attendees will engage directly with recruiters and apply for jobs on the spot. There will be an onsite Résumé Café where professionals will review, update, and print clean résumé copies for distribution. Added no-cost bonuses include a “headshot” (photoshoot) session, “job-ready” haircuts, a “clothing closet” where attendees can dress for success as they take the next steps along their chosen career path, and up to $12,000 in educational scholarship assistance for eligible attendees interested in training programs, including valuable short-term training courses for in-demand jobs.
