Staff Report
The monthly Lyric Live event that brings together some of Miami’s most talented amateur performers is at it again, but for the August showcase, the event will offer even more. R&B songstress Regina Bell is scheduled to perform and the Black Archives will present legendary radio personality Jerry Rushin with a Living Legend Award. Rushin served as the general manager of WEDR for decades before retiring in 2012.
Also, Proclamation Awards will be given to Luther Campbell and Trick Daddy, two Miami rappers who each built successful careers while maintaining ties to the Magic City. Hosted by DJ Nailz and Chello Davis, the event is scheduled for Aug. 5 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and includes free admission and free parking.
