SoFlo Live is undergoing a transformation and the most important aspect of it is you, our loyal reader. We are spotlighting more local talent, from singers to artists to actors and designers; and featuring more information about local venues that are in alignment with your interests. All of it is our effort to not only deepen our connection to South Florida’s vibrant black communities; but to also strengthen the way that we engage with you.
To that end, we are pleased to announce opportunities for our readers to contribute content to the pages of SoFlo Live.
Here are a few ways that you can connect with us:
Hanging out with friends at your favorite breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner spot? Take a few group shots and send them to us. They could end up on a ‘Friends of SoFlo Live’ photo collage.
Partying at a local venue that kept you on the dance floor with its awesome playlist? Snap some pics of you and your crew jamming and send them to us. We might include them on a ‘SoFlo Nights’ photo collage.
Submit a book review of one of your favorite page-turners. We might read it too and co-write a review, naming you as a contributing writer.
Heard some great music recently? Tell us about it in a music review. If we check out the music, we might co-write a review and name you as a contributing writer.
Discovered a new restaurant that’s serving up good flavor and customer service? Let us know so that we can check them out, too. They might end up being featured on our pages.
Do you have great photos that you took when you enjoyed that trip of a lifetime? Share them with us and you could be featured on our travel page.
Got any other story ideas or suggestions for SoFlo Live features? Let us know with an email to mhollinger@sfltimes.com.
Ultimately, what SoFlo Live represents is how Black South Florida Lives. We’re inviting you to embrace the pages as your own. This section’s strength and continued growth are largely contingent upon how involved you become in its content.
Thank you for your support and for helping us to make the section a true reflection of you, a ‘Friend of SoFlo Live.’
