DALTON, Ga. (AP) _ Dalton police have created a safe zone for people to complete online sales.

The Times Free-Press (http://bit.ly/1RUMGYI ) reports the public can use the Dalton police parking lot if they need to meet strangers to buy or sell goods.

Police Chief Jason Parker said that because the Internet gives anonymity to buyers and sellers, there will always be a risk to meeting a complete stranger.

The police parking lot has 24-hour video surveillance and officers are almost always present in the building.
